About Vanessa Fernandes
Vanessa Fernandes is an internationally renowned athlete in triathlon. Until 2017 she was actively competing and winning numerous international titles. Among others she was five times European champion (from 2004 to 2008), World champion (2007) and olympic silver medalist in Bejing (2008). Furthermore she holds a world record of winning 21 world cup championships in a row. After retiring from the sports stages she made a journey towards herself exploring on a deeper level the challenges that she has faced during and after her sports carrier. In this context she brought public attention to the topic of mental health in sports. Sharing from her own experience and insights today she is in demand as a public speaker encouraging others to immerse themselves in their personal development and to believe in their own growth and power of manifestation in life. Besides, this she is focusing on new projects, connecting her passion for movement, art and music with education and sustainable health.
