“Always give without remembering and always receive without forgetting.”
Brian Tracy

Karma Yoga, selfless service, is an essential part of a yogic life. Giving liberates the soul of the giver like Maya Angelou puts it so nicely. Therefore we donate the amount of 5€ from every booking of the Yoga Conference Luxembourg to Unity Foundation.

Unity Foundation is a Luxembourgish non-profit organisation committed to the empowerment of communities through education. All their projects are co-financed by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA).

They partner up with local development organisations, as they  believe this is the best way to ensure the sustainability of projects and to guarantee that they meet the needs of local populations.

With the conviction that every human being is endowed with potential that can be unlocked through adequate education and training, Unity Foundation has been working since 1991 to unleash that potential in children, youth and communities around the world. To do this, they work with a network of partner organisations in Latin America, Africa and Asia and support their efforts in the context of three lines of action:

  • Community schools provide quality education to children from the preschool level up in rural and peri-urban areas
  • The Preparation for Social Action program builds the capacity of young people to take action in areas such as health, agriculture and the environment
  • The Training centres are designed to accompany organisations promoting community schools in a dozen African countries.

A fourth line of action, development education, includes the projects they carry out in Luxembourg to raise awareness among young people about development issues and to enable them to become protagonists of social change.
