About Alba de Diego
Alba de Diego is a Spanish violist with a strong passion for musical performance, interdisciplinary research, and body–mind integration.
She did her music studies in viola performance at Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, Spain), and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig (Germany).
Alba has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, or the European Philharmonic of Switzerland, and collaborates regularly with professional orchestras including the Euskadiko Orkestra, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, or Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears. She has participated in international chamber music festivals and masterclasses with celebrated artists. She has also recorded as a soloist with the World Youth Orchestra and developed her own interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with artists from movement and visual arts.
Beyond the stage, Alba is the founder of Music Mind Movement, a platform that supports musicians through a holistic, creative, and research-based approach to practice and performance. Her work focuses on well-being, somatic awareness, and innovative tools for artistic development.
In 2023, she began her training in the Navakaraṇa method with its creator, Dario Calvaruso, and has completed Modules 1, 2, and 4 of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hrdayam. She continues her education within the method and regularly leads workshops across Spain, creating spaces where movement, rhythm, and artistic expression come together.
Alba is currently deepening her studies in both the artistic and holistic fields, aiming to expand her research and practice in international, interdisciplinary environments.
