About Alba & Diletta Muzzarelli

Alba and Diletta are passionate and dedicated authorised level 2 Navakaraṇa teachers and tutors based in the vibrant cities of Milan (Alba) and Naples (Diletta).
From a young age, Diletta and Alba showed an insatiable curiosity about the world and a deep desire to understand their own inner self. At a very tender age they felt a calling to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, seeking wisdom through the ancient practice and study of yoga, but after 10 years of teaching , their way to approach the word “yoga” changed totally when they were blessed by meeting their grand master Dario Calvaruso. As soon as they experienced the powerful practice of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa they immediately fell in love with the authenticity, tradition yet innovation and truth experienced during a Navakaraṇa class.

Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa lead series

During this class you will witness the true authentic experience of the unique style of a Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa class. The class is led with tempo (laya) and svara (melody). Minimal instructions with Sanskrit recitation are given with rhythmic beat (tālam), tuned to a sound pitch (nāda) and chanted to particular intervals of tones (Navakaraṇa rāga). The choreography of Navakaraṇa sequences are methodologically arranged to offer options for all levels.

This class is accessible to everyone with a regular practice and in good health condition. Senior Navakaraṇa practitioners are placed at the front of the class to guide new students during the practice.

Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Detox Focus

This class consists of a complete routine of vinyāsa, prāṇāyāma and kriyās to provide a deep detoxification of the body, with different kind of twists, inversions, arm balances and anterior stretches to boost blood circulation, refresh and reinvigorate both body, mind and senses.

About Navakaraṇa Method

Navakaraṇa Sākalya Tantra, shorten as Navakaraṇa Tantra is a methodology for a holistic self-directed transformation. Dario Calvaruso developed this method through a multidisciplinary integration of ancient practices into a modern scientific approach.

The term “Navakaraṇa” was originally coined  by Dario Calvaruso as explicative for his method. Navakaraṇa is a Sanskrit compound word: nava + karaṇa. The term is used in the sense of  “newly (nava) + causing (karaṇa). Thus conveys the sense of “continuous transformation” but also refers to the  “capacity to be continuously a new person”. Secondary, the term refers to the way in which this transformative methodology  for body and mind is applied: “nine (nava) + unit of movement (karaṇa). Thirdly, refers to the crimson red flower named “Nava”  also known as Punarnavā lit. “the one that rejuvenate” (botanic name: Boerhaavia Diffusa). Nava look a merely fast-growing weed  flower to the eye of those who are not acquainted with botanic knowledge. Yet this flower encloses miraculous properties which can rejuvenate “mind and body” just like  does Navakaraṇa method.

Their intention as teachers is to allow their students to access to the transformative power of this method through daily group classes, workshops, retreats and major events all around Italy.

Together with Dario they created “Tutoring Programme” a 24-hour preparatory bridging course for Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam Teacher Training Course to help future Navakarana’s teachers attending the ttc with ease.
